Beetroot Dark Detroit is small sized and dark. It is sweet and round shaped. Shape of the base is from spinning top to tapering. Internal colour is generally uniform dark red with rings visible but not pronounced. It is very tender beet suitable for all purposes, especially good for canning and pickling. It does well in cool climate with moderate rainfall, Prefer deep loam soils with high organic matter.
